Created using 'Valve Hammer Editor' as a workshop map for the game 'Left 4 Dead 2'. It currently has 12,000 downloads and an 86% positive rating.
Designed as a single, long-form level, similar to Valve's own 'Last Stand' map, survivors are taken on a 15-20 minute journey from the residential area to the main street in order to reach the station.
Developed over a 5-month period, the project went through various iterations. Ultimately, it had to be scaled down because, due to the size of the level, I encountered the engine's limitations for compiling things fairly early on.
This proved to be a valuable learning experience in optimization, creating navigation meshes, designing custom assets, scripting events, and final product delivery.
